Who are eligible to apply?: International students from any country are eligible to apply if they hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree and meet the academic and English language requirements. Applicants should have a strong background in mathematics and computing-related subjects and demonstrate interest in data science, artificial intelligence, or related fields. Students who are motivated for advanced studies and meet all entry requirements are considered for admission.

Minimum Level of Education Required: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification corresponding to a Swedish undergraduate degree. The degree should be in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline. The programme expects students to have a solid academic foundation, especially in quantitative subjects like mathematics and programming, to ensure they can handle the advanced technical content of the Master’s in Data Science.

Minimum CGPA or % Required: Lund University does not define a strict minimum CGPA or percentage for admission. However, in practice, successful applicants typically have strong academic results equivalent to at least a Second Class Upper division or around 2.5–3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. In percentage terms, competitive applicants generally have around 70% or higher. Since admission is highly competitive, higher academic performance significantly improves the chances of selection.
